If there is ANY doubt whatsoever that you will be in heaven, simply say this from the bottom of your heart:

“Father God, forgive my sins.  Jesus, come into my heart.  Make me the kind of person YOU want me to be.

CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a child of God!  To begin your new life in Christ, we encourage you to

read your Bible every day, talk to God in prayer daily, regularly attend a church that preaches about Christ

and His love, and tell others about this most important decision you’ve made.  Let us know, too, by clicking

Survey Topic:

YOUR FAVORITE SCRIPTURE ON HEALING

______________________________________

Here they are — the responses from an online survey we conducted.

In this survey, respondents were asked four questions (the fourth one being optional).

The responses are listed by individual respondents, whose identities have been kept confidential to protect their privacy.

Our sincere thanks to those of you who took the time to complete our survey!

Respondent #1:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  Psalm 118:17:

"I shall NOT die, but LIVE, and DECLARE the works of the LORD.”

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  This is a great verse on which to stand, especially when experiencing an “impossible” situation.  With man, it is impossible; with God, all things are possible!

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  This verse exhorts us to DECLARE God’s miracles, His healings, His salvation. The Hunters say that our TESTIMONY — our declaration — of God’s goodness He shows to us is one of the greatest ways for us to keep and maintain our healing, so that God gets all the glory.

Q4: How has God used this Scripture for healing in your own life, either for physical and/or emotional / inner healing?

A:  I have seen and heard of tremendous miracles taking place when people stand on this verse, including a lady whose husband was raised from his deathbed.  In my personal life, God has used this verse for physical healing, and to remind me that GOD WANTS EACH OF US WELL, so that we can fulfill God’s exciting destiny and purpose in our lives.

Respondent #2:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  Matthew 4:23,24:

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.”

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  Jesus is healing multitudes of all kinds of diseases.  Another Scripture says He healed all who came to Him.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  The Gospels say what Jesus did we as believers can do, and even greater works than His can we do [because Jesus goes to the Father in heaven — see John 14:12].

Q4: How has God used this Scripture for healing in your own life, either for physical and/or emotional / inner healing?

A:  God has entered my world and has set me free at various times during my life.

Respondent #3:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:   Psalm 103

[Editor’s note: Please see blue left-hand sidebar.]

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  While in a state of depression, I memorized this chapter, began praising the Lord and started accepting the Bible wholly as the Word of God, and have been ever since.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  He will continue to give healing, help and “hallelujahs” in my life.

Q4: How has God used this Scripture for healing in your own life, either for physical and/or emotional / inner healing?

A:  As stated above, the Lord used this to bring about a big change in my life of praising Him and was a stepping stone in helping me to accept the Bible wholly as the Word of God.  As a result, I was delivered from a state of depression and from doubting God’s Word.  PRAISE HIM!

Respondent #4:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  Psalm 30:2:

“O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.”

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  I didn’t, it chose me.  I had been told that I had breast cancer in January 2001; this verse was in my daily devotional for the 7th of January, and it helped so much.  I didn’t think I could have made it; I was hurt and shocked, but this verse comforted me and gave me so much faith.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  It was God acknowledging my cry for help and healing, and it increased my faith.  God knew I needed assurance at the onset of my journey.  I have had so many wonderful healing verses from Jesus.

Respondent #5:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  1 Peter 2:24:

“And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  It reminds me to stay close to the foot of the cross.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  It demonstrates that the same faith that brought us to salvation is the same faith that allows us to receive the rest of the salvation package — healing in spirit, mind and body.

Q4: How has God used this Scripture for healing in your own life, either for physical and/or emotional / inner healing?

A:  When I decided to let go and let Jesus come into my heart, it was the most glorious moment in my life. The Scripture reminds me that it was by His wounds that I was healed.

Respondent #6:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  Isaiah 53:5:

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  The blood atonement of Christ also includes healing in addition to salvation.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  Jesus paid a high price for our healing by enduring the scourging of 39 stripes, plus the beatings, being spat upon, hit in the head with rods, and the crown of thorns, the crucifixion, the shame and the humiliation.  Many people wonder if it’s God’s will to heal them; however, His Word says that He is a healing God, and it mentions many examples of healing and miracles.  While Isaiah 53:5 says that “by His stripes, we are healed” (present tense), 1 Peter 2:24 says that “by His stripes we WERE healed”.  That means it’s a finished work on the cross, a done deal, a part of the salvation package, and healing belongs to us.

Respondent #7:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  Luke 9:1,2:

“When Jesus had called the twelve disciples together, He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases.  And He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  It clearly states that all authority and power to heal the sick comes from Jesus.  He is the one who does the healing.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  We who believe in Jesus are commissioned by Him to minister healing in the name of Jesus.  God is pleased when we mention the name of Jesus, which is pure, holy, righteous and the Truth, and it is the key to open the windows of heaven, for God’s healing light (virtue) to come and heal all disease and infirmities.  Jesus has given each believer the authority and power to heal the sick.  God wants us to be well and to prosper [see 3 John 2].  God is sovereign, and He will heal whether it is through a process (healing) or instantaneous (miracle).

Respondent #8:

Q1: What is your favorite Scripture on healing?

A:  Mark 16:18 where it says,

"Those who believe shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover."

Q2: Why did you choose this verse as your favorite on the topic of healing?

A:  From the day I got saved, God instilled two things on the inside of me: a hunger for ministering salvation to people, and the second was laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover.

Q3: What do you believe God is showing you in this Scripture?

A:  It makes it so simple when Jesus said that every believer would lay hands on the sick and see them recover, so God is showing me that any believer can learn how to minister healing to the sick.

PSALM 103  (NKJV)

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:

3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.

7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

9 He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever.

10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him.

14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children,

18 To such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.

19 The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.

21 Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.

22 Bless the LORD, all His works, in all places of His dominion.  Bless the LORD, O my soul!
